Introduction

1 - Mind
This chapter is about how you can manage your mind to make it functional for making a sustainable world. Otto Scharmer (Prof. at MIT and initiator of Theory U) talked about the three social divides and about how to build-up a listening-based method to change the system and overcome the root problems of our society. Howard Gardner (Prof. at Harvard) talked about Multiple Intelligence (there are 8 intelligences according to this model) and how you can use it to do good work. If we want to change something, our mind is the first thing that needs to be changed.
2 - One is all
This part of the film is about the important matter for which everything on this planet is connected. If you pollute your land, that land will pollute you; if you kill some species, the death of these species will cause problems to the planet and you. Every single particle in this planet is linked to other particles. Vandana Shiva (Indian activist) talked about the importance of biodiversity and its ecological, social, and even economic role for our planet. Giuseppe Li Rosi (President of Simenza, association of farmers for Biodiversity in Sicily – Italy) talked about what we know about our planet, what we do not know, how we are destroying biodiversity and how we can preserve it and build up a better society.
3 - Deforestation
This chapter is about the important role of forests in our planet and for ourselves. Why are forests so important? Firstly, they are a storage of knowledge (they have evolved over millions of years and we can learn a lot from the way they work); secondly, they are an important factor for balancing the climate around the world and for storing CO2. Daniel Nepstad (Expert of the Amazon Forest, President and Founder of the Earth Innovation Institute, San Francisco, California) talked about the main threats to the Amazon Forest, and how to make the transition to a friendly forest development. Giulia Terlicher (Forest Bathing trainer and coach, Italy) taught us about how the forest can have direct benefit to ourselves and showed us how we can appreciate it much more deeply through the experience of "forest bathing".
4 - New Economic Models
This part of the film is dedicated to some new models (economic or societal) which are today proposed and that can better cope with the challenges we have in the 21st century. Olga Kovtun (GGA, Volunteer of ALLATRA IPM Troy, Michigan, USA) talked about the societal model proposed by ALLATRA organization, the Creative Society, a model that stresses a lot on basic human rights ad is based on 8 principles. Gunter Pauli (Entrepreneur and author of The Blue Economy, Antwerp, Belgium) talked about a model that he calls Blue Economy, which is focused on local development and sustainability. Clair Brown (University of California, Author of Buddhist Economy, Berkeley, California) talked about how to grow an economy that gives much more value to some aspects of life, like happiness (or some other Buddha principles) and what Long Term Economy and Buddhist economy have in common. Heidi Kharbhih (Management Team of the Economy for the Common Good St Anton am Arlberg, Austria) explained why today we need to think long-term and why today companies need to use the Economy of the Common good balance sheet to better cope with 21st-century challenges.
5 - Plastic
This chapter is dedicated to the theme of plastic. You know that one of the most polluting kind of waste is plastic. It is everywhere: it fills our land and our oceans and now also micro-plastic particles are everywhere. Captain Charles Moore (Founder of Algalita Marine Research and Education, California - USA) talked about the danger related to plastic waste in the oceans (he is the one who discovered the Great Pacific Garbage Patch). Isatou Ceseey (Co-founder of Women Initiative the Gambia, founder of the project One Plastic One Bag, The Gambia) spoke about her project One Plastic One Bag, which has transformed one problem (Plastic) in an opportunity for the community to work together and improve their social and economic conditions, as well as the environment.
6 - From Bamboo to Fashion
This chapter is about sustainability in manufacturing, especially regarding furniture and fashion. Wendy Omanga (GGA, Founder of Moonlight Initiative, Miss Journalism World Kenya 2019/20) explained her project, the Moonlight Initiative, which is about developing furniture and textile items from Bamboo in Kenya. Elena Viezzoli (GGA, Entrepreneur in High Tech and Circular Economy, CMO of Very Important Choice (VIC) Italy) talked about her project VIC that is about giving light to ethical and sustainable initiatives in the Fashion sector. Shelly Munoz (GGA, California Baptist University, Murrieta, California) talked about Fashion pollution in general, giving figures about it, and also talked about the “Re-wearing” challenge initiative.
7 - Clean transport for Clean Air (ClAir)
This part of the film is dedicated to sustainability in the industry of transportation. In particular, it touches on the topic of logistics of goods and people. Tommaso Gecchelin (Founder, Inventor & CTO - NEXT future, Italy) talked about a new method of transporting people in the urban context, he calls it car-jumping (this method can be useful for both people and goods). Daniele Testi (Chairman of SOS LOG, Association of Sustainable Logistics Milan, Italy) spoke about their projects related to sustainability in logistics, the efforts SOS LOG is making ao that the whole supply chain can be more sustainable, and the tools it gives to industries and consumers to become more sustainable.
8 - Future housing and Energy
This final chapter is dedicated to the important subject of energy and housing, how to be sustainable in both sectors. Francesco Nesi (General Director of Passivhaus Italy Italy) talked about the building method of Passivhaus, a way to build houses with low use of energy, both in winter and in summer, with high standards of comforts and efficiency. Juliet Davenport (CEO of Good Energy United Kingdom) spoke about the importance of decarbonizing the transport system, focusing particularly on the sector of hitting and talking about the main challenges we have ahead.
